While I wish John carpenter wrote the script and score I ended up rather pleased with this. Felt like he was dusting off his shoulders. Felt more like his style than his output from the 90’s.

Escape from New York (1981)
As always watching this is like comfort food.Just picked up the new blu-ray and it is rather lackluster. While the image is better than the UK edition that I have,it still has too many blurs around the edges. The fact that the movie has no special features at all is a joke. For whatever reason the fantastic audio commentary with John Carpenter and Kurt Russell will have to stay on my special edition dvd.
